About the client

Akvapark Zatoka is a seaside resort complex located on the Black Sea coast in the Odesa region, Ukraine. The project combines hotel accommodation with an on-site water park, offering guests a full summer leisure experience including entertainment facilities, dining services, and additional amenities.

The Hotel page provides a clear overview of accommodation options, starting with a hero section that combines an informational video background and an integrated booking module. The page presents room categories through structured slider-based previews, allowing visitors to explore available options in an intuitive format.

A distinctive technical feature is the nested carousel block near the footer, where multiple independent sliders are embedded within a parent carousel while preserving full functionality and interaction logic. This required careful synchronization of carousel behavior and precise implementation in Elementor.

Project Overview

The website was developed by a third-party contractor who engaged me as a subcontractor to implement the page layouts in Elementor.

A completed Figma design was provided by the general contractor.

All pages were implemented according to the design, ensuring precise reproduction of layout structure, spacing, proportions, and overall block logic.

As commonly happens, after the first live implementation certain refinements were required — visual behavior in Figma and on a live website is never entirely identical. All requested adjustments were implemented according to approved specifications.

Technical Highlights

  • Licensed Astra Pro theme with the required plugins was provided and used.
  • Implementation completed in Elementor without heavy third-party builder extensions.
  • A non-standard nested carousel structure was implemented: within a primary carousel, additional fully functional carousels were embedded.

This required careful handling of JavaScript behavior and synchronization between components.

Ongoing Collaboration

After completing the primary implementation, additional assistance was provided to the general contractor, including:

  • Consulting on Astra theme configuration and related plugins
  • Participation in header and footer creation
  • Technical assistance in launching a second language version
  • Implementation of selected additional elements

Most further development was handled by the general contractor independently, with consultation provided when required.

Deployment

The website was developed directly on the client’s hosting environment:

  • Initially on a temporary technical domain
  • Later migrated to the permanent production domain.

Consulting support is still provided when necessary.
