About the project
This landing page was created as part of a volunteer initiative aimed at supporting Ukrainian military units during the ongoing war.
The project was initiated by a US-based organizer working directly with support efforts for Ukraine.
The website serves as a direct tool for collecting donations and presenting transparency, media proof, and real-world impact of the initiative.
The project was completed on a pro bono basis.
{?}
Task
The primary objective was to create a landing page that would:
- clearly communicate the purpose of the initiative;
- establish trust through real content and visual evidence;
- provide simple and accessible donation options;
- remain easy to update as new information becomes available;
- function reliably under real traffic conditions.
There was no requirement for complex design or visual experimentation — the focus was entirely on clarity and usability.

Approach
The project was built with a content-first approach.
Instead of relying on visual effects, the structure was designed to guide the user through a clear and logical flow:
- introduction and context;
- initiative overview;
- visual proof (photos and videos);
- donation options;
- additional credibility elements.
Each section was designed to answer a specific user question, reducing hesitation and friction before the donation step.

Technical implementation
The landing page was built on WordPress using Astra Pro and Elementor.
The implementation focused on:
- simple and predictable layout structure;
- minimal use of decorative elements;
- responsive behavior across devices;
- easy content management for ongoing updates;
- integration of external media (YouTube videos, images, reports).
The goal was not to create a visually complex interface, but to ensure stability, clarity, and maintainability.

Result
The website has been live since 2024 and continues to be used as part of an active support initiative.
It functions as a working donation tool rather than a portfolio-style presentation.
The structure allows continuous updates, and the page remains relevant as new materials and reports are added.
Notes
This project represents a different type of work where effectiveness is defined not by visual design, but by clarity, trust, and real-world usability.
In donation-focused websites, reducing friction and providing understandable structure is more important than adding visual complexity.
The same principle applies to many practical web solutions:
function comes before decoration.
